MAJESTIC FILM in collaboration with our Hollywood partners MORPHIUS FILM is proud to announce that we will be producing a documentary style full length feature movie highlighting the journey of a young band called MYSTERY, featuring four young boys aged fourteen and fifteen years of age embarking on the ultimate Rock journey of a lifetime. We will be travelling with the band and following them through their trials and tribulations across the globe on their first World Tour.

The band will depart Australia in June and their first stop will be none other then the amazing OST FEST where the band will perform amongst their biggest superheroes in Bucharest, Romania. The festival will feature bands like MOTLEY CRUE, MANOWAR, EUROPE, MEGADETH, MOTORHEAD and W.A.S.P. Our team will be on hand to capture all of the emotion and drama of what promises to be the bands most important time of their lives. What will notably add to the eye catching event is the fact that you will get the opportunity to discover a country left unnoticed by the world media. It is no secret amongst bands who have played in Romania that their shows in the land of spectacular castles, beautiful people and the home of Dracula are amongst the most memorable they have ever experienced and not to forget that the passion of the Romanian fans is second to none. This movie will capture It all as the Rock/Metal community of the World, bands and fans gather in Bucharest, Romania to enjoy the festivities of OST FEST. An event of a lifetime in such an amazing European country! The event not to be missed!

The new album ‘Performocracy’ by The Poodles has entered the Swedish charts at No. 1. Cuts Like A Knife was the debut single for which Majestic Film produced the official music video for which Steve Ravic was the Director and Producer.

His previous work has been proclaimed as a ‘landmark’ by the bands label Frontiers Records on their press release and the Directorship and production of Steve Ravic has once again received rave reviews for the single, which was also voted No. 1 on Swedish commercial radio.

Cuts Like A Knife was shot in Stockholm, Sweden and Melbourne, Australia. It stars talented actor Sinisa Trgovac and the attractive and sophisticated Julie Edgley with a special appearance by none other then Mr. Hollywood Neil Johnson as the lover. Check out the music video and advert.

Majestic Film has just finished the production of the first official music video for Internationally established Australian Metal band Black Majesty. The band has ‘always wanted to do a music video with with Steve Ravic' explained guitarist Hanny. We are now proud to announce that the music video for the song 'Further Than Insane' is now available for all to see. MARCH 2011

 The Majestic Film team headed to Sydney & Bundeena (near the outskirts of Sydney) for the production of the music video for the very original and unique song 'Freedom' by MARINKA HOSEA. The clip also features dance performances by members of the world renowned Aboriginal dance group Descendance and Jose Calarco.

Marinka Hosea will soon announce the official release of the music video. Keep posted to our website for news on the announcement.

 

FEBRUARY 2011

Majestic Film together with Neil Johnson have shot the footage for young Rockers MYSTERY from Melbourne. The young Heavy Metal band consists of thirteen and fourteen year old boys from good old AC/DC territory. Additional footage has also recently been completed and the music video is now in post-production. The talented youngsters prove that this style of music never dies!

The recording of the song is now being mixed by Stu Marshall, the legendary Australian Metal guitarist (ex-Dungeon / Pain Division / Empires Of Eden) and now also established studio producer (Empires Of Eden & Ronnie Munroe of Metal Church- USA). Once the final master is ready, the music video will be ready for public release.

We have just completed all of the filming for the new single ‘Cuts Like A Knife’ by ‘The Poodles’. Shot in Sweden and Australia and set to be released in a few weeks. The band explains that Steve Ravic is their ‘favourite Director’ and logically the filmmaker they wanted to work with even though Sweden and Australia are so far apart.

We would all like to wish you all the very best for the new year. It is going to be a big one for us as we are expanding and we will be offering our clients some big opportunities. Stay tuned for some announcements.

 

So now we farwell 2010. It has been a big year for us here at Majestic Film. After finishing the Australian Tour by ANGELS from Croatia, the year began with months in the studio cutting the film ‘IN THE FLESH’ featuring the most popular and No. 1 hit band from Sweden, The Poodles. We were very proud of the end result and couriered the film to Sweden… It did not take long to secure a deal with Frontiers taking out the honours. The release in November followed with rave reviews and accolades for Director Steve Ravic! ‘Superbly directed by Aussie Steve Ravic and All in all an excellent DVD, both the live material offered up & 'The Rockumentary' on the band are very, very well directed & produced. An essential purchase’ said Rocktopia in the UK.

 

On May the 16^th of 2010, we lost who I believe and many regard the greatest voice in Heavy Metal. Ronnie James Dio was an inspiration. Steve Ravic said ‘One of my greatest moments was standing up on the stage at Balingen in Germany while DIO was performing. After the show he approached me and it was the very first time I met him in person. I was standing beside Stu Marshall (ex-Dungeon) and we both uttered the words ‘THANK YOU’… Ronnie looks at us and said ‘NO, THANK YOU’. It was a golden moment and one that described exactly who Dio was. Dio has departed from this world, but he has left a legacy and songs that will keep his memory alive eternally’.

 

The passing of a legend and the fact that his life was taken by cancer greatly impacted on all of us here at Majestic Film. It was a loss to the entire music world but he did leave us with beautiful songs and memories!

 

We now head into 2011 full of excitement. The Poodles fans will be happy to know that there will be more to come this year. Follow this space for an announcement. In the meantime we can tell you that we are doing the pre-production of the film clip for the first single off their new album which will be released later this year.

 

Steve Ravic is also currently writing the script for his next feature film which will be produced by Majestic Film so keep posted to this site for more!

IN THE FLESH HITS STORES WORLDWIDE IN NOVEMBER

We are proud to announce that our big documentary feature film ‘IN THE FLESH’ starring the biggest Rock band to come out of Sweden in years. The movie was Directed by Steve Ravic and Co-Produced by Steve Ravic and Vesna Trokter. MAJESTIC FILM will take you beyond the stage show of THE POODLES featuring our unique Director-Cam style. Enjoy the show with the fans and party with the band. The movie hits stores worldwide in November.

THE POODLES will be attending a huge cinema premiere in Stockholm scheduled for November 8, which is also the DVD release date for Sweden. The film will also be released on DVD throughout the world including North America, South America and Japan in November through FRONTIERS who are renowned for releasing many of the biggest names in Rock (Whitesnake, Hurricane, Nelson, Mr. Big, Primal Fear, Terra Nova, Pretty Maids, Triumph, Toto, Survivor, Jorn).

There is no release date or distributor confirmed for Australia. MAJESTIC FILM is considering a cinema screening for the Australian fans which we hope to co-incide with the release of the DVD. Some countries will even enjoy television screenings. If you feel that your territory has been left out, please feel free to pass on our details to your countries television networks. SYNOPSIS

UPDATE: THE MOVIE ‘WARRIOR’ EXPECTS RELEASE IN EARLY 2011

Since the Australian street based drama film had its premiere market screening in The Palais at the official Cannes Film Festival supported by by the Australian Film Commission, the arthouse movie gained a lot of serious interest. The producers have since began an association with the veterans of Australian Film inclluding John Kearney (Snowy River, Dogs In Space, Crawford Productions) and John Chase (Evil Angels, Mad Max) offering their support with marketing and attaining distribution.

The veteran Australian Filmmakers were very impressed by Steve Ravic’s determination and ability in being able to complete a feature film with an almost next to nothing budget. Since the Cannes Film Festival market premiere, WARRIOR has been cut from 120 minutes to a 100 feature.

A special soundtrack album has also since been recorded with a tribute to Hard Rocking classics featuring stars of the movie and some of the biggest names in International music. The album also includes songs and music featured on the movie WARRIOR. All the details will be revealed here in December. Several music clips were also filmed in support of the movie.  

WARRIOR was originally scheduled for a May 2009 cinema release until it was hit with a double wammy. The global financial crisis got in the way of the release afterwhich the CEO of our distribution company, Keith Stevens was hospitalised. He was in a coma for several weeks but we are happy to inform you that he is now heading for a complete recovery. We wish him all the best and look forward to working with him and getting this film out to the general public.

All parties involved are currently working on the release and we will post any news on this website as soon as the release dates are announced.

We have just completed our new new movie IN THE FLESH starring the biggest live Hard Rock act in Sweden, THE POODLES. The film promises to be something special not only for their adoring fans, but to all those fans of Rock outside of Europe that are set to experience exactly why THE POODLES have become the most popular name in Swedish Rock.

MANOWAR

Yet again, the Kings Of Metal are touring Europe and the tour is being filmed for another DVD release. MAJESTIC FILM has once again been a major part of the production. Tonight we have just completed filming the bands performance at the MAGIC CIRCLE FESTIVAL IV in Slovenia.

Steve Ravic was the Assistant Director to Neil Johnson who  now celebrates being the Director for Manowar for a decade. Steve Ravic originally recommended and introduced Neil to Manowar management back in 2000 and the man we all like to call ‘Mr. Hollywood’ has been with the band ever since. Congratulations!

Vesna Trokter was also an integral part of the film team and we also must thank Ben Johnson who traveled from Australia to be a part of the team.
